Early learning professionals are important partners in ensuring the success of children. To be effective, they must be well-prepared and have the knowledge and sensitivity necessary to provide high-quality early learning experiences. They must demonstrate competence to care for and teach children in developmentally and culturally appropriate ways. And they must create environments which are safe and healthy and which allow children to thrive.

Early Achievers is Washington’s child care and pre-school quality rating and improvement system. It is a rigorous program of standards, training, technical assistance and professional coaching for providers of licensed child care and early education.

33% of Walla Walla’s licensed child care providers participate in Early Achievers, Washington’s quality rating and improvement system.
