The importance of a community’s commitment to early learning cannot be overstated. To help children be successful, Walla Walla needs to have systems in place which ensure our progress toward becoming a community where high-quality, easily accessible early learning opportunities exist for all children. Families need to feel supported and businesses, organizations and individuals from a variety of sectors need to agree that young children are a priority and then work together to support efforts to promote quality early learning.

Two-thirds of local parents surveyed said that they think Walla Walla has abundant family activities.

28% of families with young children live in poverty.
